Chloride was once loaded with veins rich in silver. People flocked to the western town in the 1840's to get rich quick. Those prospectors found more than silver, there was also gold, lead, copper, zinc and turquoise. Chloride is slated at the oldest continuously inhabited mining town in the state. Today it has 400 full time residents that welcome thousands of visitors each year.

This ghost town is between Kingman, Arizona and Boulder City, Nevada. It is just a short distance off of highway US 93. The old buildings were once part of the silver mining town and it is said that there is still that occasional sighting of a miner's ghost. There is the jail, bank, the barbershop and much more. The town hosts mock gunfights during the months of July and August.
